Struck with left-sided stroke, David was initially withdrawn and
depressed. Having undergone rehabilitative programmes at the
Metta Day Rehabilitation Centre for the Elderly since July 2004,

A highly accomplished art form in Java and Bali, batik entails
the use of resist techniques in dyeing processes, whereby parts
of fabrics are covered with melted wax or paraffin to prevent
colour penetration.
Drawn to the deep,
rich colours and the challenge of achieving precision in its
application, Metta School alumnus Siti Hadibah has produced
captivating artworks for multiple luminaries despite her
learning disability.
