2. Runners Information
Drinking water is available at
The Start and Finish
Every 1.5km mark after the first 3km mark
Toilets are available at the Start, Finish and along the race course.
Markers are available along the route.
Medical Aid is available at every 1.5km and at the Finish.
Baggage may be deposited on event day from 6.30am at the Baggage Facility, located at the starting point which is the same as the ending point.
 
 
3. Race Pack Collection
Date: 28 February 2010 (Sunday), 10am to 5pm.
Venue: Metta School Foyer
Participants need to bring along the following documents for Entry Pack collection:
  a . Confirmation Slip
  b . Identification card for verification
 
The Organiser reserves the right to refuse anyone their Race Pack without proper documentation and the right to amend the date and the location for the race pack collection.
For participants below 18 years of age, please bring along the indemnity form signed by your parent or guardian if you have not faxed or email to us earlier.
Unable to collect your Entry Pack in person
  If you are unable to collect your Entry Pack personally during the collection date, you may authorize someone to collect for you. He/she will need to produce the following documents in order to collect on your behalf:
  a . Your confirmation slip
  b . A copy/photocopy of the runner’s identification card for verification
  c . His/her identification card for recording purposes
   
Important points to note:
Each Race Entry Pack contains a Race Bib with safety pins and an exclusive Metta Run jersey.
The Race Bib acts as a passport for a participant to take part in the race. All participants are also required to fill in their personal details on the back of the Race Bib, for emergency purposes. Participants who do not wear the Race Bib will be directed out of the race route by route marshals.
Each registered participant is entitled to ONE Race Entry Pack.
Participants are to check the content of their Race Entry Pack before leaving the foyer; any claim of missing item will not be entertained after participants leave the foyer.
Any exchange of Metta Run jersey and/or sponsors’ goodies is not allowed.
Collection of Race Entry Packs after the collection period will not be entertained. Uncollected Race Entry Packs after the collection date will be deemed as unwanted, and the Organisers, shall be at liberty to dispose off or re-distribute them accordingly.
Notice: Amendments of race category and registration of new runners will not be entertained after the registration deadline.

7. Rules and Regulations

Metta Charity Run 2010 is organized by Metta Welfare Association and is referred to collectively as "The Organiser" in accordance with the Metta Charity Run 2010's Rules & Regulations.

Completion of the official Application Form, including online registration, confirms the Participant's agreement to abide by the relevant rules and regulations.

Whilst every reasonable precaution will be taken by the Organiser to ensure the Participants' safety, Participants run at their own risk and the Organiser will not be responsible or held liable for any loss or damage, personal or otherwise, injury or death, howsoever arising during participation in the race. Participants are strongly encouraged to go for a medical examination and/or consult their medical practitioner prior to registration and before the actual race day.

Due to safety reasons, pets, bicycles, in-line skates, prams, push carts, shoes with built-in or attached rollers and any other wheel-run objects are not allowed on the course other than official race and medical vehicles.

All participants are responsible for their own safety during the event. All participants must also observe traffic regulations.

The Organiser reserves the right to use any photographs (including those of Participants), motion pictures, recordings, or any other media records of the Metta Charity Run 2010, for any legitimate purpose, including commercial advertising and distribution to sponsors and partners.

Participants must wear the assigned bib number on his/her chest. Participants who are not wearing a bib number will be taken off the course by road marshals.

The Organiser reserves the right to limit and/or refuse entries without giving any reason.

A Participant must retire from the race immediately, if required to do so by any member of the official medical staff, Race Director, Referee and/or Security Officer.

The Organiser will not entertain nor be in any way responsible for any disputes arising from incomplete registration details.

Once registration has been duly processed, there will be no fee refund for participants who do not eventually take part in the event for whatever reason.

Participants below the age of 18 who are participating in the run are required to seek parental/guardian consent and fill up the relevant indemnity declaration forms as deemed necessary by the Organiser upon registration. Failing which, the Organiser reserves the right to refuse entry to any participant.

There are two (2) race divisions – 10km and 5km run.

Race category and race entry are strictly non-transferable.

Participants who commence before the actual start time of the race entered for will be disqualified.

Participants will be disqualified should they start the run 40mins after the gun time.

All Participants who successfully complete the race in their elected category will be awarded a Finisher’s Certificate which will be mailed to them shortly after the race.

All Participants shall collect their race packs that include the bib number and running jersey on the Race Pack Collection Day. If Participants are unable to collect their race pack in person, they may appoint a representative to collect on their behalf. Note that the representative is to produce their identity card/photo ID. No late collection will be entertained. Race packs which are not collected after the collection date will be deemed as property of the Organiser who reserves the right to dispose or re-distribute them accordingly.

Participants, who have been issued number bibs of the wrong category, are required to bring it to the attention of the registration officials prior to the commencement of the race on the race day.

Please note that no changes in running jersey sizes and race category will be entertained during the race pack collection.

How does the corporate category race work?
 
Each corporate team consists of at least 10 runners. Participants must be full-time employees within the same company. This category is open to all business organization, including ministries and statutory boards.

How can I register for Metta Charity Run 2010?
  All Participants must submit their entries and payment online through the registration page / come down personally to Metta Welfare Association (Mondays to Fridays, 9am-12pm, 2pm to 5pm)

What is the registration fee?

Early Bird category is only applicable for those who register and pay before or on 6 February 2010.

How do Participants register for the corporate category?
  An appointed leader of the team has to email us at events@metta.org.sg and he will be advised from there.

Will I receive a refund on my registration fees if I withdraw from the Run?
  No. Once the registration has been duly processed, there will be no refunds to the Participant should he/she decide not to take part.

Is the registration transferable?
  The entry is non-transferable. The organizer has the right to disqualify any Participant found to be using another Participant’s number bib.

Can I change my race category after I have registered?
  Participants are not allowed to change their race categories after registration.

When does registration close?
  Registration will close when the maximum number of slots has been filled, or 13 February 2010, whichever comes first.

When is the race pack collection?
 
The race pack will only be issued on 28 February 2010, Sunday from 12pm to 8pm at Metta School Foyer, 32 Simei Street 1

Are there other dates to collect my race pack?
  No. Please collect your race pack on the date stated.

What do I need to bring during the collection day?
  Participants have to produce the e-receipt bearing the confirmation number (sent to your mail after payment has been made) together with their identity card or passport.

Can I authorize someone to collect on my behalf?

  Yes, please refer to the Race Pack section for more details.

What does the race pack consist of?
  The race pack consists of an exclusive runner’s tee and bib number.

Can I exchange if the size of my tee is not suitable?
 
Size selection is made during registration. Please refer to size chart for details. No exchange of sizes will be entertained.

Can I run without my number bib?
  No. Runners without their number bib will not be allowed to participate.

  A finisher’s certificate will also be mailed to Participants with Singapore addresses only.
