Admission is open to adolescents of any racial and religious background who are:
- Aged between 18 and 23 years old
- Either Singapore Citizens or Permanent Residents
- Former students of Metta School
- Diagnosed with mild intellectual disability and/or autism spectrum disorder
- Medically certified as not having any mental illness and extreme behavioural problem
- Mobile or ambulatory and do not require regular medical or nursing care
- Interested in visual arts
Supporting Documents
Applicants are required to attend a pre-admission interview along with their parent/guardian to ascertain placement suitability. The following documents must be presented:
- Photocopy of applicant’s NRIC or Singapore Permanent Resident Re-entry Document
- Arts@Metta Application Form (completely filled)
- One recent passport-size photo
- Graduation certificate, skills certificates and testimonials from the Metta School
- A full medical and psychiatric report that is issued by a medical practitioner within the last 6 months (for applicants who have graduated for more than two years from the Metta School)
Selected applicants will commence as trainees and undergo a six-month probationary period during which they will be assessed base on their performance.
