What's National Day without some merrymaking? As part of their community outreach efforts, staff from the Holiday Inn Park View Singapore paved the celebratory mood for pupils with special needs at the Metta PreSchool on 16 July 2009 through an interactive arts session that had the kids trying their hands on stained glass painting and creating unique picture frames. Kicking off a party on 7 August was another team who turned up with a magician-cum-balloon sculptor to regale the kids with fascinating tricks and balloon sculptures. Besides teaching the children how to make their own flags, the volunteers feted the nation's birthday with a huge cake and goodie bags for the preschoolers.
