Formed in August 2006, the Metta Alumni steers former graduates from the Metta School towards creative and constructive endeavours by helping them continue their mastery of the arts under an extended learning environment.

The aim is to equip them with valuable life skills that promote employment and independence.

Since April 2008, visual arts classes are held on weekdays from 10 am to 3 pm in an arts studio located within the Metta Building.

Fundamentals of batik painting, pottery making and other handicraft skills are taught to keep the youths focused and productive. In addition, workplace and behavioural therapies take place as they fulfill their assigned duties in accordance to a scheduled routine.

Through this, they learn to uphold proper decorum and assimilate concepts such as service attitude, work quality, punctuality, task completion, handling of job load and time management.

Their artistry has since flourished and gained much recognition through commissioned projects initiated by our corporate partners including UOB Private Banking, Singapore Pools, Raffles Town Club and General Insurance Association.
