Garden Gateway to the Sky is a vibrant batik artwork inspired by Changi Airport, a place where journeys begin, reunions take place, and connections are made across the world. Set against a bright daylight sky, an aeroplane soars above the iconic Changi Airport Control Tower, symbolizing movement, aspiration, and the endless possibilities of travel.

Surrounding the aviation scene are colorful bougainvillea, orchids, sunflowers, and cactus, bringing life and energy to the composition. The diverse plant forms reflect the many cultures, landscapes, and experiences that travelers encounter through their journeys. Together, these natural elements create a welcoming atmosphere, transforming the airport into more than a transportation hub—it becomes a gateway filled with discovery and wonder.

Created by Fadhil and Jozie, artists employed by Arts@Metta who are both diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder, Garden Gateway to the Sky reflects their unique talents and perspectives. Fadhil contributes thoughtful details inspired by his love for manga and sketching, while Jozie brings warmth and vibrancy through her bold use of colour. Together, they celebrate Changi Airport as a welcoming gateway that connects people, places, and possibilities.
